NOW THAT YOU BACKSLID...HOW DO YOU RECONCILE WITH GOD?

In Jeremiah 3:14, The Lord talks about being married to the backslider, urging his children to turn from their wicked ways. Have you fallen away from the will of God? This section of our site will help you to answer the following questions:
WHAT HAPPENED?

Backslide: To return to sin.

O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy names sake: for our backslidings are many, we have sinned against thee. (Psalm 25:11)


YOU WERE A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST

You returned to sin, passing from life to spiritual death. (Romans 5:17).

You returned to sin, passing from the
righteousness of God in Him. (II Cor. 5:21).

YOU BECAME A CHILD AND FRIEND OF SATAN

You gave up your righteousness and sonship
through Christ to return to enemy status.

You left the Kingdom of Light to return to the Kingdom of darkness. (Col. 1:13)

YOU REKINDLED YOUR FRIENDSHIP WITH SATAN AND THE WORLD

Satan hated you while you were a child of God. He hates you again now that you have recommitted your life to Christ.

Satan regained his power over you because you went back into his Kingdom.
HOW DO YOU GROW FROM HERE?

Apply the Word of God to your Life. Agree with it! Act upon it

Recognize: Awareness of having returned to sin.

Repent: Godly sorrow. Turn from sinfulness

Recommit: Commit again.

Restore: Return to former position in Christ.

Recover: Regain, get back, redeem, retrieve and reclaim.

Reconcile: Conciliate, propitiate, harmonize, accord, settle.
 
Redeemer: Savior, Messiah, Christ, Lord, Emancipator.

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Forgiveness of sin and unconditional love from the
Father. (Romans 5:18).

Acceptance and intercession on your behalf.
(I John 2:1-2).

That Christ will again reign in your body, soul and spirit. (Romans 6).

That you are again in the palm of His hand and no thing can snatch you out.

The HDM is founded on the Scriptures: Matthew 28:18-20 and Psalm 92:12-15.
God knew it would take more than a right decision to live for Christ on this earth. He knew that you would backslide, for He was tempted in all like manner, thus He made a way of escape.

This Ministry responds to the Commission to teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you Thus, we assist you to become rooted and grounded in new creation realities and foundational truths as you walk out your recommitment to Christ. We will also help you get re-established in the Body of Christ, should you decide to become a member of Agape Family Worship Center. (Romans 12:1).

We offer a sixteen-week, New Beginnings course, in two eight-week sessions. It is taught each Sunday morning at 9:30 am. We assist you as you walk from your decision into discipleship.
